The Authors
Sandra Newman is the author of two novels, The Only Good Thing Anyone Has Ever Done and Cake. The Only Good Thing… was a finalist for the Guardian First Book Award. Her short fiction and non-fiction has appeared in such publications as Harper’s, Conjunctions, London’s Observer and Sunday Express newspapers, and in Granta’s Family Wanted anthology. Her memoir, Changeling, will be published in 2010. She has taught writing at the University of Colorado, Chapman University, Temple University, Gotham Writers’ Workshop, and the Unterberg Poetry Center. She lives in New York City.
Howard Mittelmark is the author of the novel Age of Consent. As a ghostwriter/collaborator/editor, he has had a hand in dozens of novels and memoirs, including two New York Times bestsellers. He has worked for literary agencies, and publishers of both books and magazines in various editorial capacities. His book reviews and essays have appeared in The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Philadelphia Inquirer, The International Herald-Tribune, Kirkus Reviews, Writer’s Digest, Hollywood Reporter, and other publications. He is of no fixed address.
